It’s been three years since ‘Journey’ was released for PS3, now fans will be happy to hear that the game is being released for PS4 on July 21. But that’s not all. In a blog post on Tuesday PlayStation also announced that players who purchased the game digitally for PS3 will be able to download it for free for PS4.

‘Journey’ was supposed to be available for PS4 last year, according to Jenova Chen, president and creative director of developer thatgamecompany. So it’s a bit behind on that time line. Thatgamecompany worked alongside developer Tricky Pixels to bring the experience to PS4.

The emotional indie video game is getting a slight upgrade for PS4, it will now run at 1080p and 60 frames per second. When it launched in 2012 ‘Journey’ became the fastest-selling PlayStation Network game, so chances are the PS4 port is going to be pretty good for fans and new players alike.
