The company reported fourth quarter net profit of $16.1 million or $0.28 per share compared to $4.5 million or $0.07 per share in the same quarter a year-earlier, but fell short of analysts’ estimation of $0.39 per share. The company expects fiscal 2012 revenue to be in a range of $1.15 to $1.2 billion compared to analysts’ expectation of $1.28 billion.

Dreamworks Animation SKG, Inc. (DWA) stock plunged 8.80 percent to $17.92 in aftermarket trading session. The company reported fourth quarter net profit of $24.3 million or $0.29 per share, down from $85.2 million or $0.99 per share in the same period a year-ago. The company expects fiscal 2012 revenue to be in a range of $90 to $110 million compared to analysts’ expectation of $110.77 million.
