Is ‘Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists’ Canceled Or Renewed For Season 2?

UPDATE: Sept. 27, 5:35 p.m. EDT -- Four months after airing the Season 1 finale of “Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists,” Freeform has chosen not to renew the college drama for a second season, TVLine reports. Although now canceled, fans can still rewatch the 10-episode first season of the series on Hulu.

Original story: The first “Pretty Little Liars” spinoff, “Ravenswood,” was canceled after one season in 2014, but will the second spinoff series, “Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists,” have the same fate?

The series, which stars Sasha Pieterse (Alison) and Janel Parrish (Mona) from the original show and a bunch of new cast members, like Sofia Carson (Ava), Sydney Park (Caitlin) and Eli Brown (Caitlin Lewis), airs its Season 1 finale tonight, but Freeform hasn’t yet decided whether it’ll return for another season.

The question of whether “The Perfectionists” will get canceled or renewed for Season 2 has not yet been answered, but the ratings aren’t looking good for the latter.

With a 0.12 rating in the 18-49 demo, it’s only above the already-canceled “Famous in Love” and “Alone Together” and the recently-renewed “The Bold Type,” according to TV Series Finale.

It has an average weekly viewership of 0.259 million, which also puts it only above the aforementioned shows. That means “The Perfectionists” sits at number eight out of 11 scripted Freeform shows in both of those categories.

Until the future of the show is decided, fans still have at least one more new episode to enjoy. The Season 1 finale (episode 10), titled “Enter the Professor,” arrives tonight.

“In the aftermath of a shocking event, Ali, Mona and the Perfectionists try to pick up the pieces of their lives,” the synopsis reveals. “However, new information is uncovered which makes them question everything they think they know.”
