Prince Andrew has no chance of getting back into the royal fold, according to an expert.

The Duke of York is unlikely to join the senior members of the royal family in the near future under his brother King Charles' reign. Shannon Felton Spence, PR expert, moderator and speaker, spoke about Prince Andrew's future with Fox News Digital.

"I have a hard time believing anything about support from the top for Andrew rebuilding his reputation and public life," Felton Spence said. "The king and Prince of Wales [Prince William] know how damaging he is, and they made it known even before the queen's death that they would not tolerate him or entertain any path back to public life."

The royal expert added that Prince Andrew's PR team could continue spinning positive stories about him and the Queen's wishes for him. However, she noted that "there's a new boss in town," referring to King Charles.

"Look, Charles' plans for the future of the monarchy never included Andrew. Even before all this," she continued. "A slimmed-down monarchy focusing on value for the public was only ever going to include Charles, his sons and their families. Now with Prince Harry out, we can expect the primary focus of the monarchy to increasingly be the king, the queen consort, as well as the Prince and Princess of Wales."

She added that the King and heir to the throne are both on a "protect-at-all-cost mentality." She believed the disgraced royal may be invited to the coronation but won't have a public role.

"All of this is about whether Andrew can regain his status. He cannot and will not, regardless of the coronation," she continued.

Giselle Bastin, an associate professor and a British royalty expert at Flinders University in Adelaide, Australia, also spoke about Prince Andrew's future in the monarchy following Queen Elizabeth's death in September. She also believed there would be no more room for the Duke of York in the firm.

Reinstating Prince Andrew would counter King Charles' plan to slim down the monarchy to save on cost.

"Who we saw at the final balcony appearance of Queen Elizabeth II, during her Jubilee, will be what we see going forward [without her]," Bastin told Time.

Queen Elizabeth made balcony appearances twice during her Platinum Jubilee celebration in June. She appeared on the balcony to take the official salute with her first cousin Prince Edward, the Duke of Kent, during Trooping the Colour.

They were later joined by a bigger group for the flypast, including King Charles, Queen Consort Camilla, Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their three kids — Prince George, 9, Princess Charlotte, 7, and Prince Louis, 4, People reported.

Also present at the event were Prince Edward, his wife Sophie, Countess of Wessex, their children Lady Louise and James, Viscount Severn. Princess Anne and her husband, Timothy Laurence, rounded out the group.

The Queen returned for another balcony appearance to cap off her Platinum Jubilee celebration, surprising royal fans. In her final balcony appearance, she was only joined by King Charles, Queen Consort Camilla, and the Prince and Princess of Wales and their three children, CNN reported.
