Prince Charles' documentary wasn't well-received by all.

According to Alice Scarsi, a journalist for Express, the 60-minute royal documentary "Prince, Son and Heir: Charles at 70" didn't go well with BBC viewers who were expecting to watch an episode of "Ambulance." A number of them turned to Twitter to air their disappointment and anger over the network's choice.

"Did I hear right? #Ambulance isn't on tonight and instead we have a documentary on Prince Charles???Shunt that over to BBC2 and let us see the real heroes (and heroines of course). I am livid," one user wrote.

"I can't understand why they would take an award winning and popular programme off the air and put one on that nobody really cares about. It seems a bit daft," the same user added.

"#Ambulance has been replaced with some [explicit] documentary about Prince Charles and there are no upcoming broadcasts listed on the website. @BBCOne I am gutted," Tamzin Bush posted.

"Absolutely gutted there is no #Ambulance on tonight i really look forward to watching it each Thursday night & now i’m stuck looking at Prince Charles’s face instead," Hayley wrote.

"Just sat down with my 12 yr old to watch the excellent #Ambulance but no ... a documentary about Prince Charles #disappointed #nothappy Hope it returns next week," Kath Pearson wrote.

Another user aimed at the network with sarcasm. "So #Ambulance, easily the best thing the BBC has been put out in years has been replaced with a ‘documentary’ stroking Prince Charles ego. Good job @BBC. Great way to spend the taxpayers money," the user wrote.

In related news, Tom Bower warns about the future of the monarchy in Prince Charles' hands. According to him, the heir is the opposite of the current monarch.

"Charles does the opposite. He divides the nation between those who like him and dislike him, he divides his own court, he creates hostility when he be creating harmony and that's his trait," Bower said.

Meanwhile, Prince Charles is still in Nigeria for his West African tour. His wife, Camilla Parker Bowles was with him for the said trip where they also visited Ghana and Gambia. However, the Duchess of Cornwall cut her trip short and had already returned to the palace leaving Prince Charles to continue the tour alone.
