Prince Charles and Meghan Markle share three things in common, and this is apparently why they get along really well, according to royal expert Claudia Joseph.

While speaking with Sky News, Joseph said that the heir to the throne does not only treat Markle well, but he also gives her mom, Doria Ragland, the exact same treatment.

“He’s treated Meghan beautifully and her mother, and I think he’s gained an awful lot of admiration. I think they’ve got a lot in common, Prince Charles and Meghan, in their environmental interests and sustainability, and caring,” she said.

According to Joseph, Prince Charles is someone who is caring and passionate about his causes even though he does not wear his heart on his sleeve like Princess Diana. Prince Charles also looks after people, and this was made evident when he opened his arms to Ragland during Markle and Prince Harry’s royal wedding.

Joseph’s comments about Prince Charles came after Markle’s dad, Thomas Markle Sr., went public with the Duchess of Sussex’s handwritten letters to him. In the letter, Markle told her dad that she was heartbroken over some of his dad’s recent choices.

“Your actions have broken my heart into a million pieces – not simply because you have manufactured such unnecessary and unwarranted pain, but by making the choice to not tell the truth as you are puppeteered in this. Something I will never understand,” she wrote.

Markle went on to question her dad’s decision to tell the press that he informed his daughter beforehand that he couldn’t make it to her wedding when he didn’t. The “Suits” alum also urged her dad to stop lying and reading fake stories about her on the tabloids.

Prince Harry’s wife went on to say that she barely knew her half-sister, Samantha Markle, and this upset the multiple sclerosis patient. Samantha fired back at Markle via her Twitter account and said that if only she had $600 million, the Duchess would have cared about her.
