Prince Charles and Princess Diana were reportedly very professional with their divorce.

The royal couple did not talk about their failed marriage publicly for the sake of their two sons, Prince William and Prince Harry. During his interview with Yahoo’s “The Royal Box,” former royal chef Carolyn Robb said that everything seemed very normal between the couple at home.

“I was aware of it mostly through what I read in the press, which was really quite sad. They were very professional about everything and everything was kept completely normal for the sake of William and Harry,” he said.

Prince Charles and Princess Diana stayed together for 11 years before they decided to go their separate ways. At that time, the Princess of Wales still lived in Kensington Palace, and she was able to spend time with her two children.

But things only worse between the couple from there. In the same year that they separated, Princess Diana shared her accounts of her marriage to royal biographer Andrew Morton. Her shocking revelations did not sit well with Prince Charles, who then gave an interview with Jonathan Dimbleby about his affair.

A year later, Princess Diana sat down for an interview with Martin Bashir for Panorama. During their conversation, Princess Diana said that she doesn’t think Prince Charles is suited to be King. Shortly after the interview, Queen Elizabeth urged the couple to finalize their divorce.

Meanwhile, Robb also talked about Prince William and Prince Harry’s personalities and said that not much has changed compared to when they were kids.

“As little boys they had such a remarkable quality. They were always so interested in what you were doing, which I think is really unusual for a child. They’re both so warm and so caring and I think that’s why people love them so much. And they’re so incredibly good at what they do ,” she said.
