Prince Charles just named his favorite television show during his visit to Cornwall, and it’s not “The Crown.”

While talking to Bookends owners Ann and David Willmore, Prince Charles said that he enjoys watching the TV adaptation “Poldark.” The Duke of Cornwall typically watches episodes of the show on Sunday nights.

“What I can’t get over watching that Poldark stuff on the television, is just how many more he wrote,” he said.

Ann spoke with ITV News following her encounter with Prince Charles and said that she’s delighted he and Camilla Parker Bowles visited her bookstore.

“Poldark books have always been up there in terms of popular Cornish books, and since the television series there’s been an upsurge in interest right across Cornwall,” she said.

Bowles popped up at the store, and she told the Willmores that she couldn’t resist not visiting their bookshop. The mom of two is also an avid reader, and she supports several literary organizations as part of her job as a member of the royal family.

In related news, some information about the royal family’s television habits has been released in recent years. Alexander Armstrong, the host of BBC’s “Pointless,” said that he was told Queen Elizabeth II loved his show.

“A palace insider told us that she watches it,” he claimed.

Last year, it was also revealed that Prince Charles and Bowles are huge fans of “Forbrydelsen.” When the royal couple visited the Danish kingdom in 2012, they made sure to pay a visit to the set of the series.

Kate Middleton previously said that she is a huge supporter of “Downton Abbey.” The Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William are also huge fans of “Game of Thrones.” The couple’s son, Prince George, is also very into watching television shows.

“You have to pretend you’re really interested because George gets very upset if you’re not showing due diligence to the characters,” Prince William said.
