Prince Harry reportedly felt violated and vulnerable after he was pranked called by two Russian YouTubers twice.

On the “HeirPod” podcast, royal commentator Omid Scobie revealed that a source spoke to Prince Harry this week about what happened. Meghan Markle’s husband wasn’t really concerned about what he told the pranksters about Donald Trump and his recent exit from the royal family.

“He stands by what he says, he’s not there to hide anything from anyone. But it’s that feeling of violation, it’s not a pleasant feeling to experience. I think the fact that the audio didn’t just go out through the usual channels to this duo’s YouTube channel. It got sold to this British tabloid who were eager to exploit the contents of it for sales so to make Harry look stupid,” Scobie said.

Foreign correspondent Maggie Rulli responded by saying that she found the prank malicious and gut-wrenching especially since the timing must have been hard for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

“They had just had this huge trip back to the UK, all eyes were on them. So, to have it come out when the trip was still wrapping up and Harry was by himself and vulnerable was bad. The timing was also just an extra stick-in-the-eye,” she said.

According to Express, the Russian pranksters first called Prince Harry earlier this year when they first moved to Canada. The calls were recorded and sold to The Sun, and they were also posted on YouTube.

In the past, the same Russian pranksters also called the likes of Elton John and other politicians. Rulli said that they must have been doing this for monetary gain and to gain more subscribers

The correspondent also described the move as mean because it’s evident that they don’t have anyone’s best interests at heart.
