Prince Harry reportedly gave Kate Middleton a sweet nickname shortly after she got engaged to Prince William in 2010.

While speaking with Newsweek, royal author Angela Levin said that the Duke of Sussex shared a special connection with his sister-in-law especially since his mother, Princess Diana, was no longer around.

“There was no filling the hole left by Diana’s death, and Harry seemed to be growing up without someone emotionally available he could lean on. Kate has helped fill some of that gap. When she and William got engaged, Harry called her the big sister he never had,” Levin said.

While Prince Harry was still single, he regularly visited Prince William and Middleton at their apartment in Kensington Palace. The Duchess of Cambridge used to cook meals for her brother-in-law, and Prince Harry especially loved her roast chicken.

In recent years, Prince Harry and Middleton’s relationship has changed, especially amid rumors that they have been feuding. Prince William and Prince Harry are reportedly not on good terms, and Middleton and Markle never became very close despite being sisters-in-law.

Last month, Globe claimed that the Duchess of Cambridge made a bold move by confronting Prince William regarding his and Prince Harry’s alleged feud.

“She urged William to forgive Harry — or the feud would fester into a wound that might never be healed. She told him, ‘You’ll regret it all your life if you don’t,’” an unnamed source told the tabloid.

However, it is unlikely for the future Queen to meddle in Prince William and Prince Harry’s alleged feud. And during his interview with Tom Bradby in “Harry & Meghan: An African Journey,” the Duke of Sussex said that he and his brother would always love and support each other.

Prince Harry admitted that he and Prince William are on different paths at the moment. But he never directly said that they are feuding with each other.
