Prince William may have several years of fatherhood experience, but he and wife Kate Middleton still have their own struggles every time they welcome a new addition to their family.

On Tuesday, Prince William, 35, made his first public appearance following the confirmation of Middleton's third pregnancy at the National Mental Health and Policing Conference in Oxford, England, Us Weekly reported. After Prince William made his speech, an audience member approached him and congratulated him on the baby news. The royal confessed that though they're ecstatic over the news, they also haven't been able to get enough rest.

"Thank you, it's very good news," Middleton's husband said in response (via Entertainment Tonight). "There's not much sleep going on at the moment."

Prince William also mentioned that Middleton has been struggling with morning sickness. Despite the condition of the Duchess of Cambridge, the family was able to "start celebrating this week." "It was a bit anxious to start with," the Duke of Cambridge added.

On Monday, the Kensington Palace announced on Twitter that Middleton and Prince William were expecting Prince George and Princess Charlotte's younger sibling. "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their third child," the tweet read.

The palace also revealed that Middleton is suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum. She suffered the same condition during her first and second pregnancy with Prince George and Princess Charlotte, respectively. Due to this, she canceled her scheduled engagement at the Homsey Road Children's Centre in London on the same day.

While Middleton's third pregnancy had only been confirmed this week, the Duchess of Cambridge may have already hinted about royal baby no. 3 during their trip to Poland in July. During the trip, the couple received a high-tech toy for newborns. Upon receiving the present, Middleton smiled, looked at Prince William and said, "We will just have to have more babies!"

At the time, Middleton's statement received mixed reactions from social media users. Some wondered if it was a hint that she was actually pregnant or merely a joke. Victoria Murphy, who tweeted the funny moment involving Middleton and Prince William, believed that the Duchess of Cambridge was only joking. "I actually think the opposite! I expect she joked about it because it's not something they're serious about but never say never!" the correspondent told commenters when asked if Middleton was hinting at wanting more kids.

However, another source claimed that Middleton and Prince William have been wanting to add another baby to their brood for a while now. "She wanted another almost since giving birth [to Princess Charlotte]," an insider told Us Weekly.
