Princess Anne called one staff member incompetent for fumbling in his duties.

Daily Mirror reporter Ryan Parry was able to secure a job as a footman at Buckingham Palace. In the 2015 documentary “Serving the Royals: Inside the Firm,” he shared the “almost feudal class structure” in the royals’ household.

According to him, as a servant to people of higher calling one has to behave in a subservient manner. The palace has carpets and staff are not allowed to walk down the center as they might wear it out. He added that the center part was strictly for the members of the royal family.

Parry confessed that he was told off after breaking a china but never got a dressing down like a fellow footman after failing a task assigned to him by Princess Anne.

“She looked at him and said: ‘you incompetent [explicit]!!’" Parry recalled.

Princess Anne has been branded demanding. Many also find her stubborn and strong-willed. In fact, the Royal Princess and the Prince of Wales have a combustible relationship due to their contrasting personalities.

Anthony Holden revealed in his book "Charles, Prince of Wales" how Prince Charles disapproved of his sister’s public outbursts and rage toward the press photographers. The heir felt that Princess Anne’s actions were “counter-productive.”

One time, Princess Anne had a confrontation with a group of anti-bloodsports protestors when she was about to go fox hunting. Their heated confrontation ended up with one angry taxpayer asking the royal who paid her to do it and reminded her that the royals’ budget was from the public.

Holden noted that it’s a royal sin for the members of the Firm to fall into a confrontational situation with the public. Prince Charles knows this very well and has perfected his ways to avoid such situations.

Aside from being confrontational to the public, Princess Anne isn’t as warm as the younger royals when it comes to greeting the crowd. She admitted that she doesn’t shake hands for a reason.

“We never shook hands. The theory was that you couldn’t shake hands with everybody, so don’t start,” Princess Anne explained. “It's not for me to say that it's wrong, but I think the initial concept was that it was patently absurd to start shaking hand.”
