Princess Eugenie just gave Prince Harry and Meghan Markle a sweet Instagram tribute.

Just hours after it was announced that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will have their own social media account, Princess Eugenie decided to welcome them on Instagram.

Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s youngest daughter has been using Instagram for years and since Prince Harry and Markle are new to the platform, she encouraged her followers to follow their account.

Princess Eugenie uploaded a photo of Prince Harry and Markle from their engagement photo shoot and captioned the snap with a short but sweet message.

“Welcome cousins,” she wrote.

Princess Eugenie has always been close to her cousin, Prince Harry. But rumors swirled that they got into a feud after the Duke of Sussex got engaged. It was revealed that Princess Eugenie had to postpone her desire to wed Jack Brooksbank to give way to Prince Harry and Markle’s royal wedding.

Markle was also rumored to have upset Princess Eugenie in October 2018 when she allegedly announced her pregnancy at Princess Eugenie’s wedding. However, royal experts claimed that members of the royal family already knew that Markle was expecting even before the royal wedding.

Months later, rumors swirled that Princess Eugenie and Brooksbank will also announce their pregnancy. However, it is possible that Princess Eugenie is once again waiting for the right time to make the announcement to prioritize Markle’s pregnancy and the arrival of her baby.

But a royal expert said that this isn’t the case. If and when Princess Eugenie becomes pregnant, she can immediately share the news to the world even though Markle has not yet given birth.

Princess Eugenie tied the knot with Brooksbank on Oct. 12, 2018, at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle. Markle and Prince Harry tied the knot on May 19, 2018, in the same venue.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced the latter’s pregnancy five months later.
