Priyanka Chopra, who recently received the RAD Impact Award, thanked the Red Carpet Advocacy organization for the honor and the opportunity to help "young girls" in India.

Red Carpet Advocacy is an organization that combines entertainment and philanthropy. Chopra, 38, took to Instagram on Wednesday to share the award with 18-year-old climate activist Devishi Jha and captioned, "Thank you @radvocacy for giving me the opportunity to give young girls across India the ability to pursue an education."

"It’s especially important at a time like this, when the country is wagging a difficult battle against Covid 19, to ensure that their education continues so they can build a better life for themselves and those around them," she added.

"I’m honored to receive this RAD Impact Award alongside some incredibly deserving people that inspire so much purpose," she wrote. "I have chosen @devishijha as my Honoree, with whom I will share this award, and @avantifellows as the charity we are creating impact for!"

"Our RAD Impact Award will support 500 bright young women across rural India with tablets to access STEM learning programs and pursue careers in engineering and medicine," she disclosed.

RAD, which was founded in 2018, creates advocacy campaigns that illuminate values and drive impact for charities. They have partnered with many celebrities and brands to auction their award show outfits, which is one of the ways to raise money for causes.

Chopra also emphasized on the importance of educating girls and climate change.

"We all know that educating a girl is educating a family and community. It is also one of the most powerful ways to mitigate climate change," she wrote. "Devishi is a leader in the climate justice movement and a young woman, also from India, who inspires me greatly with her ambition and drive for change!"

Jha also took to her Instagram on Wednesday to share the same video clip and wrote in the caption Chopra has been her role model.

Chopra’s husband Nick Jonas, 28, also shared a post on Instagram and wrote, "India needs our help. Please give what you can. I love you India."

Chopra will be next seen in "The Matrix 4," which is slated to release on Dec. 16, 2021.
