Queen Elizabeth Hinting At Meghan Markle, Harry Being Stripped Of Royal Titles?

Queen Elizabeth II might be hinting about the possibility of stripping Prince Harry and Meghan Markle of their royal titles.

The monarch released a statement following her crisis talks with Prince Charles, Prince William and Prince Harry. Her Majesty called the three royals for a four-way meeting following the Sussexes’ announcement that they are resigning from their royal duties.

The Queen said that they are supportive of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s plans. However, there are speculations that she might remove the couple’s royal titles, New Idea reported.

“Today my family had very constructive discussions on the future of my grandson and his family,” the Queen said in a statement.

“My family and I are entirely supportive of Harry and Meghan’s desire to create a new life as a young family. Although we would have preferred them to remain full-time working Members of the Royal Family, we respect and understand their wish to live a more independent life as a family while remaining a valued part of my family. Harry and Meghan have made clear that they do not want to be reliant on public funds in their new lives.”

The Queen mentioned Prince Harry and Markle’s name several times and eagle-eyed fans notice that the monarch didn’t use the royal couple’s titles. People noted that the Prince Harry and Markle signed their correspondence as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. However, the Queen has the ultimate decision. Her Majesty gave the Sussexes their titles and she is the only one who has the power to remove them if the couple will not renounce their titles.

JL Partners conducted a poll and 51 percent indicated that the Sussexes should lose their royal titles. Another 54 percent suggesed that Prince Harry should relinquish his rights to the throne.

Princess Diana’s former private secretary Patrick Jephson also believes that it’s best if the couple were to be stripped of their royal titles or the monarchy will face corruption allegations because the couple is using the public office to make private wealth. Jephson advised the Sussexes to renounce their titles and remove the temptation from unscrupulous foreign hustlers who are angling to exploit their former royal status.
