Queen Elizabeth II, Princess Charlotte 'Could Be The Same Person,' Expert Says

Princess Charlotte has inherited most of her features from Queen Elizabeth II.

A high-tech analysis of the Queen and Princess Charlotte's photos taken when they were the same age showed that there was a striking resemblance between the two royals. In fact, they were so similar that they could be one person.

"They are indeed strikingly similar," Hassan Ugail, Professor of Visual Computing at the University of Bradford told Express. "Usually, if a comparison between two images return 70 percent or higher we consider it to be the same person."

"In this sense, I feel some existing facial recognition systems may even fail to distinguish between the two, given the corresponding images are fed as input for comparison," he added.

Royal expert James Brookes was not surprised by the results. The editor of Royal Central explained that many already noticed Queen Elizabeth II and Princess Charlotte's similarities.

"It’s definitely something that’s been noticed in the past," he said. "From the photos, what strikes me most is the similarity with the Queen’s smile. It will be very interesting as she grows up to see how she changes."

Brookes is looking forward to seeing Princess Charlotte in her teenage years is she will still look like the Queen. He predicted that Prince William and Kate Middleton's daughter would be taller as both of her parents are quite tall.

Earlier this year many likened Princess Charlotte to the monarch after seeing her first day of school portrait taken by the Duchess of Cambridge. The royals' resemblance is undeniable. Princess Charlotte and Queen Elizabeth II have the same eye structure, blue eyes, arched eyebrows and hair color when Her Majesty was at the little princess' age.

Aside from their physical appearance, Princess Charlotte has also inherited the Queen's passion horse riding. Middleton revealed that her daughter has already started training in the sport. Middleton doesn't echo the same fondness but told Natasha Baker, an equestrian, that she would do her best to champion and encourage her daughter for the sports.

In addition, Princess Charlotte and Queen Elizabeth II both love the pink color. In fact, they have been spotted wearing pink dresses in several royal outings. They also love cardigans. They even wore matching pink sweaters for the royal family portrait in 2016.
