CBS’ new sitcom, “The Neighborhood,” had some royal fun on Monday.

During the new Season 1 episode, characters on the show mentioned not only Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s royal wedding, but also Queen Elizabeth. Cedric the Entertainer and Tichina Arnold’s characters —Calvin Butler and Tina Butler, respectively — were attending a fundraiser when the topic came up.

“I cannot believe you went to the royal wedding,” a woman also attending the function said to the married couple.

“You know, it was great until the queen got a little handsy on the dance floor,” Calvin responded.

“Queen Elizabeth groped you,” another woman at the event asked.

“No, he’s talking about Elton John,” Calvin’s wife, Tina, said.

This wasn’t the only show in the last few weeks to mention the royal family. The Duchess of Sussex was mentioned during a recent episode of NBC’s “I Feel Bad.”
