Raven-Symoné has spoken out after a fake story claimed she said Bill Cosby sexually assaulted her when they worked together on “The Cosby Show.” The actress took to Instagram to set the story straight. She shared a picture of herself as a child on the show as her character Olivia.

“I was NOT [taken] advantage of by Mr. Cosby when I was on the Cosby Show! I was practically a baby on that show and this is truly a disgusting rumor that I want no part of! Everyone on that show treated me with nothing but kindness,” she wrote. “Now keep me out of this!”

The post garnered nearly 20,000 likes from her 593,000 followers after it was on the site for less than hour. “Love you raven! I knew it was BS!” @Jleerathel, wrote. I cannot believe it, it just does not suit his personality and I hate you being brought into it,” jeffmuro84 said.

She followed up with another tweet where she reiterated she wanted to be left out of rape accusations Cosby has faced.

In a statement release by his lawyer Sunday, Cosby denied the allegations of sexual assaults that reportedly happened decades ago. But dozens of women, including supermodel Janice Dickinson, claim he is guilty.

The rumor involving Raven-Symoné emerged on Hip Hop Hangover, a website that describes itself as a “gossip parody and satirical publication” that is “for entertainment purposes only.”

The story on Hip Hop Hangover claimed Raven-Symoné said she was drugged and raped by Cosby. Though the story is apparently false, it fooled some Twitter users. Some of their comments, in response to the phony Hip Hop Hangover story, are posted below:
