Raising a child isn’t easy, but luckily for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, they have a team of staff members that will be on hand to assist them should they need help while raising the royal baby.

Although the royal family typically hires some of the best nannies, no one is perfect. One royal expert claims Meghan and Harry’s nanny will be closely monitored due to past incidents that endangered the lives of royal children.

Royal historian Carolyn Harris told the Express UK nannies can’t be trusted to be alone with children for extended periods of time. “King George V and Queen Mary dismissed a nanny who pinched their eldest son, the future Edward VIII and neglected their second son, the future George VI after she had been in their employment for three years,” she recalled.

Harris claimed the incident demonstrated that “royal parents of the time were not necessarily aware of how nannies behaved toward the children in their care.”

However, nowadays, Harris claims royal parents are more involved with their children and would be able to quickly identify whether their child isn’t being properly cared for.

The Historian suggested Meghan and Prince Harry will most likely find a balance between their royal duties and family time in order to avoid any possible incidents.

“For example, William and Catherine's 2016 tour of British Columbia and the Yukon in Canada was structured so that the royal couple could return to Government House in Victoria most evenings to spend time with their children after undertaking a full day of royal engagements.”

“Harry and Meghan may take a similar approach, ensuring a balance between royal engagements and time with their children,” Harris added.

Meghan, who has no future royal engagements scheduled, is expected to give birth this spring.
