Apple iPhone Apps vs Android Apps: Apple's Crash More Often

Apple apps crash more often than Android apps, a new report from app watchdog company Crittercism said. Based on a study done in November 2011, Crittercism found apps in the iOS system version 5.0.1 crashed more than any other Android or Apple OS version they tested. 28.7 percent of all app crashes Crittercism tested were from iOS 5.0.1 system.

Experts Build 3D Printed Jaw Bone for 83-Year-Old Implant Patient

Experts from the University of Hasselt in Belgium have helped build a 3D printed lower jaw bone for replacement surgery in an 83-year-old woman, the Dutch language news Web site DePers reported Feb. 2. It's not only the first 100% customized implant to replace an entire jaw, but the first time a 3D printed prosthetic has been used, the report said. It was made by printing out the mandible with titanium powder.

Apple Beats Back Samsung Once More: Galaxy Tab 10.1 and 8.9 Banned in Germany

Apple beat Samsung twice Jan. 31, and a German court found the Galaxy Tab 10.1 and 8.9 mimicked the iPad 2 just a little too much, banning them from store shelves completely. Samsung is not worried about the ruling because they already designed the Galaxy Tab 10.1 N, a device that complies with the copyright infringement ruling and is sold throughout Germany, an Associated Press report said.
