Rupert Grint, aka Ron Weasley, was featured on Dax Shepard's "Armchair Expert" podcast on Monday where he dove deep into his feelings about being apart of the “Harry Potter” franchise for ten years.

The English actor appeared in the movie series from 2001 until 2011, which is a great deal of his childhood. He explained to Shepard how he thought “Harry Potter” would be the end-all, be-all of his career after the last movie wrapped up.

“I don't really see that far ahead. But I guess there was definitely a time where it felt quite suffocating. I mean, it was heavy. It was kind of every day for like 10 years,” he explained.

“Almost no one’s even been on a TV show for ten years. It was a great experience. It’s such a nice kind of family atmosphere. It was always kind of the same crew...So it was a great place to be, but sometimes it definitely felt like I wanted to do something else and see what else is out there,” he continued.

The now 32-year-old continued to explain his internal thoughts as the series went on and on, and compared it to both “homework” and the film “Groundhog Day” when it came time to start filming another movie of the series.

“...it was kind of like 'Groundhog Day' because it was always the same sets and it was always the same people, but it was great,” Grint stated.

The “Servent” actor went on to explain that he’s also never watched all of the movies in the series, only watching “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” once or twice.

"I've never seen it. But for me it's more because I was afraid if I saw it, I no longer be able to do it. Like I would just lose all confidence. Like if I see what a terrible job I'm doing, I won't be able to continue."
