  • Princess Beatrice will tie the knot on May 29

Princess Beatrice’s royal wedding has been confirmed for May 29 at the Chapel Royal, St. James’s Palace. A reception will follow at the gardens of Buckingham Palace.

On Twitter, royal expert Rebecca English announced that Prince Andrew will be walking Princess Beatrice down the aisle. In the past, rumors swirled that the Duke of York might not be given an important role because of the sex scandal that he is involved in.

Last month, royal expert Angela Mollard said on the “Royals” podcast that Prince Andrew will give Princess Beatrice away on her wedding day. But the moment between the father and daughter will be very brief.

Mollard said that it is possible for Prince Andrew to not be featured on Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi’s official wedding photos. And the snaps that will be released to the public will only feature the newlyweds.

“Unfortunately, poor Beatrice is being tarnished by the allegations around her father and that’s not going away yet. We don’t know what’s going to happen with that so, very hard to be planning a wedding at the same time as your family is doing a major damage limitation exercise,” she said.

Weeks later, English confirmed that Prince Andrew will play an important role at his eldest daughter’s wedding. But New Idea came up with a dubious headline in an attempt to confuse royal fans.

This week, the tabloid claimed that Sarah Ferguson and not Prince Andrew will be walking Princess Beatrice down the aisle. The publication was unable to provide any supporting statements to their claim.

But they did quote Express when the publication questioned whether Fergie or Prince Andrew will be given the important role. The publication never said that the Duchess of York will walk her daughter down the aisle. In fact, they already published a story confirming that the role has been given to Prince Andrew.

Other details from Princess Beatrice’s royal wedding are still being kept under wraps. But it is expected to be a quiet affair.
