  • Taylor Swift released "Red (Taylor's Version)" on Nov. 12
  • It followed the release of "Fearless (Taylor's Version) in April
  • Swift will appear on "Saturday Night Live" on Nov. 13

“Saturday Night Live” has dropped its first promo for Taylor Swift’s musical guest appearance this weekend. Her guesting will come one day after the release of her new album “Red (Taylor’s Version).”

In the teaser video, Jonathan Majors takes the lead in introducing Swift. “Hi, I’m Jonathan Majors, and I’m hosting SNL with musical guest Taylor Swift,” he says, before Aidy Bryant chimes in, saying, “And I’ll also be singing one song from a yet-to-be-released album.”

Bowen Yang then adds, “I will also be doing a song from an album I haven’t even written yet.” Toward the end of the video, Swift butts in, saying, “I’ll also be doing music if there’s time.”

The teaser video then shows a clip of the quarter reciting Majors’ opening line together, with Bryant saying it took them seven takes to perfect the line.

Swift released “Red (Taylor’s Version)” on Friday, featuring her vault track “Babe.” Ahead of its release, the singer offered fans a glimpse into her “All Too Well” short film, which is set to release on Nov. 13. The film will be set to the new 10-minute version of her single of the same title.

“Shot on 35mm film with cinematography by the brilliant @the_rinayang. Plan your watch parties or grab your blanket and curl up into a ball,” Swift wrote on Twitter. “However you want to watch All Too Well the Short Film, it’ll be out tomorrow on YouTube at 7pm Eastern,” she added.

Swift has re-recorded her first six albums following Scooter Braun’s purchase of her former record label, Big Machine, allowing Braun to take control of the master of Swift’s previous albums. In November 2020, Braun sold the masters for $300 million to Shamrock Holdings.

In April, Swift released her first re-recorded album “Fearless (Taylor’s Version).” After the sale of the masters of her old albums to Shamrock Holdings, the singer refused to work with the private equity company to prevent Braun’s company from making profit out of her previous albums.
