The Seattle Seahawks don’t have much on the line in Week 17 of the 2018 NFL season. The team has clinched one of the NFC wild-card berths and knows it’ll be playing a road game in the first round of the playoffs.

Seattle has two possible opponents for Wild-Card Weekend. They’ll play the Dallas Cowboys or Chicago Bears, depending on what happens Sunday.

The odds suggest Seattle will be headed to AT&T Stadium for a matchup with Dallas. The Cowboys are locked in as the No.4 seed, and the Seahawks can clinch the No.5 seed with a Week 17 victory. Seattle is a 13.5-point favorite in their upcoming home game against the Arizona Cardinals, per OddsShark.

A loss for the Minnesota Vikings would also give Seattle the No.5 seed. Minnesota will host Chicago as they look to earn the final NFC playoff berth.

It’s certainly possible that the Vikings will win and pass the Seahawks in the standings. Seattle could choose to rest their starters for the majority of Sunday’s contest since they’ll be playing on the road in the wild-card game regardless of the Week 17 outcome.

If the Seahawks lose and the Vikings win, Seattle will visit Chicago as the NFC’s No.6 seed. The Seahawks enter Week 17 with a half-game lead over the Vikings in the wild-card standings. The Philadelphia Eagles are a game behind Seattle, but the Seahawks own the better conference record and the tiebreaker.

Chicago enters Week 17 as the No.3 seed and in line to play the No.6 seed on Wild-Card Weekend. A win for the Bears and a loss for the Los Angeles Rams would make Chicago the No.2 seed and L.A. the No.3 seed. In that scenario, Seattle would clinch the No.5 seed.

The Seahawks played the Bears and Cowboys in consecutive weeks earlier this season. Seattle lost on the road to Chicago 24-17 on “Monday Night Football” in Week 2. They picked up their first victory of the season when they beat the Cowboys 24-13 in Week 3 in their home opener.

The Bears have won eight of their last nine games. The Cowboys have gone 6-1 since Week 10.

A victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 16 gave Seattle five wins in their last six games.
