Selena Gomez got candid about how she felt when she got nominated for a Grammy.

Gomez, 29, received her first Grammy Award nomination in the Best Latin Pop Album category for her Spanish-language EP, "Revelación," last month. When she spoke with Entertainment Tonight's Matt Cohen, the latter asked her about her reaction.

"Thank you so much. I cried like a little baby. I was very excited," she told ET while promoting her animated movie "Hotel Transylvania: Transformania."

"I worked really hard on that project, so it was a lovely surprise. I’m very excited," she added while smiling.

Twitter users who saw the interview were convinced that she should get a Grammy Award. Some of them even said it was long overdue.

"Awe, that is cute! she deserves a grammy she is so amazing!" one fan commented on the video.

"Selena should have been nominated for love you like a love song long time ago!! Rare also has gems. I don’t get why the @RecordingAcad slept on her too much," another wrote.

"She is sooo cute. She deserves it," a different supporter commented with a loudly crying face emoji, two hearts emoji and pleading face emoji.

"My beautiful princess!! You deserve it," a fourth added.

Meanwhile, another netizen urged Gomez to attend the Grammy Awards with Chris Evans. The two have been romantically linked to each other since October. However, none of them addressed the rumors. It started when the "Captain America" star followed the "Rare" singer on Instagram.

Gomez released her EP in March after she dropped her emotional single "De Una Vez" and upbeat track "Baila Conmigo" featuring Rauw Alejandro in January. Gomez, who wrote all but one song on her seven-track EP, said she created the album to honor her Latin heritage.

"This has been something I've wanted to do for 10 years, working on a Spanish project, because I'm so, so proud of my heritage, and just genuinely felt like I wanted this to happen," Gomez told Apple Music's Zane Lowe. "And it happened, and I feel like it's the perfect timing. Just with all the division in the world, there's something about Latin music that globally just makes people feel things, you know?"

"Hotel Transylvania: Transformania" starts streaming on Amazon Prime on Jan. 14, 2022.
