Selena Gomez slammed a netizen for commenting on a joke that she made on her latest TikTok video.

Gomez, who got her kidney transplant due to lupus in 2017, posted a video on TikTok, in which she reacted to Dr. Dawn Bentel explaining what is considered to be "heavy drinking."

In the video, the 29-year-old singer made different faces while reacting to the doctor's audio that says, "The CDC defines heavy drinking as 15 or more drinks a week for men and eight or more drinks per week for women."

The singer captioned the post, "It's a joke." However, a netizen took to the comments section and wrote, "So one of your best friends gives you her kidney and you continue to drink excessively. Damn Selena."

Gomez didn't hold back and responded, "It was a joke a-s."

A fan tweeted a screenshot of the comment Tuesday.

This is not the first time the singer's kidney transplant was mentioned on a public platform. Previously, Gomez's transplant was mentioned in a teen sitcom, "Saved by the Bell" reboot, which was dropped in 2020.

In one of the scenes, two characters in the sitcom could be seen discussing Gomez's kidney transplant and noted that it must be Demi Lovato or Justin Bieber who donated the kidney. Another scene in the same sitcom showed a wall that reads, "Does Selena Gomez even have a kidney?"

These scenes were not well-received by the fans.

"Selena was really upset by the Saved by the Bell scene about her health and thought of it as bullying and offensive," a source had told ET at that time. "She felt as though her kidney transplant, and others who have gone through that, was used as a joke at her expense."

On the work front, the 29-year-old lent her voice to the upcoming installment of "Hotel Transylvania," which is slated for release on Jan. 14, 2022. Besides the animated movie, the singer will also feature in a biography drama, "In the Shadow of the Mountain," which is directed by Elgin James. The movie is currently under pre-production and is expected to release in 2022.
