Chris Noth is weighing in on the rumored feud between his former "Sex and the City" co-stars Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall.

The 67-year-old actor, who played "Mr. Big" on the show, defended Parker, 56, after being asked why he thought Cattrall, 65, didn't take part in the "SATC" revival, "And Just Like That."

"I have to tell you, I have absolutely no idea what her thinking is, or her emotions," Noth said during an interview with The Guardian Sunday. "I do know that I'm very close with SJ and [Cattrall's] descriptions of her don’t even come close."

The "Law & Order" alum told the outlet that he "liked" Cattrall and thought she was "marvelous" on the show. However, he said he doesn't know what her reasons are for moving on. Noth then went on to describe the feud as "sad and uncomfortable."

Noth explained that he doesn't like to "see anyone talking down about [Parker] because she's a target and people can be nasty." He also said that he feels "very protective" of Parker, so he was not happy about the feud and Cattrall's previous statements about Parker.

While Noth and Parker are set to star in HBO Max's upcoming "Sex and the City" spinoff, Cattrall has declined to appear in "And Just Like That" and also refused to star in a third movie.

Rumors of a feud between Cattrall and Parker started when they were working together on the iconic HBO series, which ran from 1998 to 2004. The two reportedly had a big falling out in the show's final season because Parker was paid considerably more than Cattrall, according to Us Weekly.

The dispute allegedly caused delays in the production of the two "Sex and the City" films in 2008 and 2010.

"She mentioned money and no one should vilify her for it," Parker previously told The Telegraph during an interview on the set of the first "Sex and the City" movie. "People made a decision that we had vilified her. No one bothered to say [to the rest of us], 'Are you disappointed by not making the movie?' Yes. 'Do you respect and support her choice to not do it?' Absolutely."

However, during an interview with British talk show host Piers Morgan, Cattrall denied asking for higher pay or additional projects. She also claimed that none of her co-stars had reached out to her when the reports began circulating about her holding up the "SATC" film, New York Post reported.

While Parker has always denied that there has been a feud, Cattrall previously lashed out at her back in 2018. Cattrall accused her co-star of being "cruel" after Parker shared her condolences for the Canadian-American actress following the death of her brother, Christopher.

"Let me make this VERY clear. (If I haven't already) You are not my family. You are not my friend," Cattrall wrote via Instagram at the time. "So I'm writing to tell you one last time to stop exploiting our tragedy in order to restore your 'nice girl' persona."

Later that same year, Parker once again denied that there was bad blood between her and Cattrall, telling Extra that she has "never fought" with her former co-star and has "never done anything" to her.

The first two episodes of "And Just Like That" are set to start streaming on HBO Max Thursday. The next eight installments will be released each subsequent Thursday.
