Shytoshi Kusama, the pseudonymous lead developer of the dog-themed altcoin Shiba Inu, has revealed what will happen after the highly anticipated launch of Shibarum.

After months of speculations regarding Shibarium, the layer-2 scalability solution of the Shiba Inu ecosystem, the Shib Army will finally get their hands on the much-awaited initiative sometime this year with the phased Beta launch happening very soon.

However, while the Shibarium team already shared some concepts surrounding Shibarium, there are still a lot of things that the community does not know, one of which is what will happen after the project becomes fully operational.

Former Growth Breed member and content creator who goes by the Twitter handle @LucieSHIB shared Wednesday Kusama's response to this question and even offered to promote projects built on Shibarium so long as the projects utilize the Shiba Inu trifecta consists of SHIB, BONE and LEASH.

The lead developer responded to a follower who asked if there is going to be a live event following Shibarium's launch, probably looking forward to a celebration for the ecosystem's major milestone.

Unfortunately, this might not be the case since according to Kusama, Shibarium's launch will herald the start of real work, although they did mention that Unification, the team working on the development of the Layer-2 solution, surely has a cause to celebrate.

The lead developer underlined that once Shibarium is fully out and available, people will certainly begin "building, connecting and working together."

"After [the] launch I don't think people will celebrate. I think people will quickly EXPEDITIOUSLY start building, connecting and working together. Unification, the cause for celebration is there for sure, but the work begins," Kusama said.

The Shiba Inu team described Shibarium as a powerful layer-2 blockchain and a "transitional evolution" to the current ecosystem made of blockchains that "scales and invites solutions, innovation, and security to the Decentralized Finance Space."

Shibarium, according to the team, aims to deliver to users scalability, faster transactions, lower gas fees (BONE) and an "expanded development framework" with protocols that can cater to a wide range of industries, including web3, metaverse, gaming and innovation.

With the excitement building in anticipation of Shibarium's launch, SHIB, the native token of the Shiba Inu ecosystem showed off a massive gain of 19.56% over the past 24 hours and was trading at $0.00001249 with a 24-hour volume of $794,382,605 as of 1:5 am. ET on Wednesday, based on the latest data from CoinMarketCap.
