Simon Cowell revealed that once he was offered to have his own talk show but he backed out at the point when the set was getting built.

"I got to the point where they built the set and I started to get anxious and then really stressed out, and I just walked out the meeting," the "America's Got Talent" judge told E! News on Tuesday. "I just said I literally couldn't do this."

The 63-year-old TV personality further explained why he walked out from his own show. "I just couldn't talk to people all day long. I'm not very good at talking," Cowell admitted.

Cowell is not the only one who got offered his own talk show after being a judge on a reality show. Previously, Kelly Clarkson and Jennifer Hudson - who served as judges on "American Idol" - were offered their own talk shows.

While Clarkson's talk show "The Kelly Clarkson Show" is running since September 2019, Hudson's talk show, "The Jennifer Hudson Show," started in September last year.

Considering Cowell's new work, he is judging a new competition series, "America's Got Talent: All-Stars," alongside co-judges Howie Mandel and Heidi Klum on the NBC network. The show airs every Monday at 8 p.m.

"America's Got Talent: All-Stars" will feature celebrities, including comedian Josh Blue, child actor Aidan McCann, TV personality Mike E. Winfield, singer Mandy Harvey, ventriloquist and comedian Terry Fator.

As far as "America's Got Talent" is concerned, Cowell has been a regular on the show as a judge since 2011. He also served as a judge on "Britain's Got Talent" since 2007. Last year, he served as a guest judge on "Canada's Got Talent."

On the personal front, Cowell proposed to his longtime girlfriend Lauren Silverman in December 2021. They first met in 2004 but started dating in 2013. Lauren was previously married to businessman Andrew Silverman from 2003 to 2013. The former couple shares a 17-year-old son, Adam Silverman.

Lauren and Cowell also share a son together named Eric Cowell. According to multiple sources, the couple are planning their wedding for the last two months.
