Former national security adviser Michael T. Flynn and his son Michael G. Flynn could be the next two people indicted in the Justice Department’s probe into connections between Russia and the campaign of President Donald Trump. According to an exclusive report by NBC News Sunday, Special Counsel Robert Mueller has enough evidence to bring charges against both men.

NBC reported that federal investigators will speak to several witnesses over the next few days looking at the elder Flynn’s lobbying efforts, whether he laundered money and whether he lied to investigators.

The elder Flynn served in his role at the White House for only 24 days before being fired for misleading Vice President Mike Pence and several others about conversations he had with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak.

Flynn worked on the campaign and his son worked closely with him and briefly worked on the Trump campaign’s transition. While NBC’s sources have not indicated what charges could be filed against both men, it appears as if the elder Flynn’s initial failure to register as a foreign lobbyist of Turkey has been a subject of the investigation. Investigators will also look at whether the elder Flynn tried to help form a plan to extradite an opponent of Turkish President Recep Erdogan who lives in the U.S.

His son has taken to Twitter to ridicule "SJWs" an acronym for "Social Justice Warrior" that is often a disparaging term for those perpetually seeking reasons to be outraged online.

Last week the Justice Department unsealed indictments against Trump’s former campaign chairman Paul Manafort and a business partner of his, Rick Gates. Both men pleaded not guilty. It was also unveiled that George Papadopoulos, a former Trump foreign policy adviser, pleaded guilty over the summer to lying to federal prosecutors.

If the elder Flynn is indicted, it would be the first charges brought against someone who worked in the Trump White House. Mueller might be using charges against Flynn’s son, Michael G. Flynn, as leverage for the elder Flynn to cooperate.

Michael G. Flynn lashed out on Twitter Sunday, calling out all the “social justice warriors.”
