Snake Tries Devouring Live Toad While Inside Woman's Shoe

A woman found a snake in a shoe trying to devour a live toad while inside a shoe, in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand. The incident was caught on video on July 11.

The stomach-churning video shows the reptile inside a shoe the woman was planning to wear. Arun Kaewsamakkee, 40, spotted the snake and the toad in her pink trainers. The video shows the snake trying to eat the live toad as the amphibian struggled to get away. The toad was able to get away when Kaewsamakkee’s husband used a broom to free the shoe of the reptile.

The toad escaped from its predator, while the snake retreated into the shoe. The couple eventually took the shoe into the garden to get the snake out of its hideout. The reptile later slithered away.

“It makes me shudder every time I think about this. But it’s actually lucky that the snake tried to eat the frog because if not I would not have seen it,” the woman said. “Ever since this, I have been checking my shoes before I put them on. I’m worried there could be another snake inside,” she added.
