Sophie Turner used her platform to show support in the fight against social injustice and racial discrimination. She came out in support of all those around the world who are protesting against racial injustice.

According to ET Online, Sophie Turner, who is pregnant with her first child with husband Joe Jonas, did not let her pregnancy stop her from joining the protest and standing up against systematic racism. On June 6, she took to the streets and joined the #BlackLivesMatter protest in Los Angeles.

The "Game of Thrones" actor posted videos and photos from the protest she attended with her husband. In a photo, she was seen holding a placard that read “White Silence is Violence.” She looked comfortable in printed pajamas and a black jacket, made complete with a protective face mask.

Most of her followers supported her stance on social issues, specifically her solidarity with the black community in their fight seeking justice for George Floyd’s death in Minneapolis and many others. But there were those who criticized and questioned the ongoing protests as well.

Some people were not too supportive, with one person commenting, “I mean they’ve been arrested and charged with murder so there’s justice, soooo can we have peace now?” A few others wrote, “All Lives Matter.”

However, Turner was quick to reiterate. In an already deleted comment, the 24-year old star said, “This isn’t just about the cops. This is about Breonna Taylor, this is about Treyvon Martin, this is about Eric Garner, this is about the systematic racism that black people have faced for hundreds and hundreds of years."

“This is about changing the system. Justice will be done when society reflects our beliefs that we are all equal. Until then there should be no peace,” she added.

Recently, Turner came out in support of a California woman name Emerald Black, who filed a lawsuit against cops. Turner shared a link to a petition and spoke out against police brutality. According to the Mercury News, in the lawsuit, Black claimed that while she was pregnant last year, police officers pulled her over and stomped on her stomach, which caused her to have a miscarriage.
