NASA has released never-seen-before space images captured by its Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer, or WISE.

The spectacular set of images include pictures of new discoveries such as more than 33,000 new asteroids floating between Mars and Jupiter.

The WISE was launched in 2009 on a mission to scan the entire sky with an infrared telescope picking up the glow of hundreds of millions of objects and producing millions of images. More than 2.5 million images have emerged from its 14-month operation.
