Leaks online regarding “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” include descriptions of actor Greg Grunberg's role and a scene involving the character. The actor has so far not confirmed any details about his role in the movie. [Spoiler alert!] According to MakingStarWars, Grunberg will play the leader of an X-Wing squadron with blue markings on their helmets, opposite to Oscar Isaac’s character Poe Dameron.

A previous report by MakingStarWars explained one of the scenes in which the character will be seen. The report talks about a massive assault by the Resistance forces on the First Order’s super weapon inside a fortress. Grunberg’s character, identified as Gorwyn, is said to be introduced during the briefing before the final attack. The attack is said to be possible because of the information Finn, played by John Boyega, provides to the Resistance.

Leia, played by Carrie Fisher, is also said to be in the briefing and she wants to use a “secret weapon” against the First Order. Gorwyn and Dameron each take their respective X-Wing squadrons into a battle, which is said to be the end of many of the pilots of the Resistance forces.

Grunberg’s character is said to survive the final clash in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” The character is said to take out one of the TIE fighters of the First Order.

Meanwhile, a casting report by StarWars7News indicates that Ken Leung will play a Resistance general in the J.J. Abrams-directed movie. The actor is known for his roles in movies like “Rush Hour” and “X-Men: The Last Stand,” and previously worked with Abrams on the “Lost” and “Person of Interest” TV series.

Leung’s costume in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” is described as a brownish uniform with a reddish belt. The report speculates the character’s rank in the rebel army by comparing the insignia of the costume to the one used in the original trilogy. The report notes that the character is of the same rank as a character called Ackbar from the original trilogy of the franchise.
