"The Late Show With Stephen Colbert" doesn't premiere until September, but its host can't resist skewering politicians. Following Donald Trump's announcement Tuesday that he's running for president, Stephen Colbert released a video announcing the announcement and celebrating the news.

"Donald Trump’s campaign for president of the United States is not just great for America; it’s great for late-night television," Colbert said as he deployed a hilarious impersonation of the "Celebrity Apprentice" host, a Republican. "He's going to make late-night television great again."

As he spoofed Trump's overall persona, Colbert demanded to see President Obama's birth certificate, lamented the threat China poses to America's livelihood, and declared Trump to be the only man who could dig up America's buried corpse and marry it, thereby saving this great country.
