Author Stephen King has not been shy sharing his thoughts on Elon Musk's Twitter takeover, most recently joking about the recent exodus of advertisers from the social media platform.

King tweeted on Tuesday: "Pretty soon the only advertiser left on Twitter will be My Pillow."

My Pillow is a bedding company owned by controversial conspiracy theorist Mike Lindell, who is an outspoken supporter of Donald Trump. Lindell has been permanently banned from Twitter twice, once for spreading misinformation about the 2020 U.S. Presidential election and the second time for evading the original ban.

Musk tweeted a response: "Is My Pillow actually a great pillow? Now I'm curious."

The billionaire's takeover of the social media company in October has been less than ideal. Musk has fired half the workforce and offered an ultimatum to the other half, causing 1,200 employees to leave.

Companies like GM, United Airlines, and Volkswagen are scrapping or pausing their advertising with the company. The Washington Post reported Tuesday that over a third of Twitter's top 100 marketers have not advertised on the site in the last two weeks.
