Recently, a popular Facebook event called "Storm Area 51, They Can't Stop All of Us" has been circulating. According to the page, on Sept. 20, a group of over 1.5 million will descend on the notoriously-secret Nellis Air Force Base Complex in Nevada in order to, per the event description, "see them aliens." The event was created by Twitch streamer "SmyleeKun."

Regardless of how serious the upcoming raid is, AREA15, a Las Vegas entertainment complex, announced that it intends to live stream the event for those who won't be in attendance.

"At Area15, we are curious, too, about what's going to happen on Sept. 20 at the storming of Area 51. We will live-stream the 'event' onsite to watch what goes down. Of course, costumes and tin foil hats are required," reads a statement from the company. A similar message from Area15 posted to Twitter can be viewed below.

As reported by Movieweb.com, Area 51 has been operational since the 1950s, but the CIA denied its existence until 2013. Supposedly, the Facebook event looks to shed some light on the unknowns regarding the protected location.

However, the U.S. Airforce doesn't see this as a laughing matter, as evident by their statement that they "always stands ready to protect America and its assets." So, even though the idea may have started out as a joke, it is now being taken more seriously.

Anyone interested in the potential discovery of extraterrestrials as event-goers "naruto run" into the darkness will have to wait until September to find out how all of this intrigue turns out.
