Stray Kids leader and vocalist Bang Chan had an emotional message for his fans during the first leg of the boy band's world tour Sunday.

"I'm gonna protect you. Each one of you! All the staff, fans I'm gonna protect you all. No one sets a finger on them," Bang Chan was quoted as saying at the band's sold-out "Maniac Tour."

Bang Chan's promise received a warm response from the audience. A number of K-pop singers and celebrities, including JYP Entertainment founder Park Jin-Young, attended the show held at Seoul's Jamsil Stadium. The group's solid supporters, known as STAY, hailed Bang Chan for his kind words.

"Crying my eyes out nobody got me like bang chan does," a fan tweeted.

Another one quipped, "If there is a group that treats their fans like their whole world then it definitely is stray kids."

"The man went full protector dad mode. Thank you for being our safe place, our dear leader," one STAY member wrote.

The topic "Stray Kids" trended for some time on Twitter as fans reminisced about the show.

"Charmer gave us felix abs!!!!! i love this song even harder now," a fan tweeted referring to the moment when Felix flexed his abs as part of a musical number.

Another fan took note of a light moment between Bang Chan, Han and Changbin and wrote, "bang chan carrying his 3RACHA brothers."

BTOB Boyband member Peniel was seen in the crowd supporting his friend and fellow JYP trainee Bang Chan.

"Aww peniel was there too, and his mask says 'Bang Chan,'" a fan tweeted.

Girl group members Minnie and Yuqi of (G)I-DLE shared three Stray Kids lightsticks in their Instagram Stories, which left fans wondering who the owner of the third lightstick is. One person suggested that the third lightstick belongs to Blackpink's Lisa because Minnie and Lisa are often spotted hanging out with her.

The boy band will take their concerts to Japan before heading to the U.S. in June and July.
