Tamar Braxton has issued an apology to all the people she has hurt through her words, including a fan who suggested her son, Logan, should undergo speech therapy.

In an Instagram post, Braxton said she’s sorry for whatever she said and that she didn’t mean to hurt anyone. She also said that as a mother, she will always defend her child. She added: “Please forgive me. I’m a work in progress and I’m human. I love and respect you all and giving it is getting it.”

Last week, Braxton called out a fan who commented on a video of her son, Logan, and her husband, Vince Herbert. The fan said: “He could use some speech therapy… coming from a mom who had to hire a speech therapist for my daughter.”

The singer replied, saying the fan was in no position to give unsolicited advice on how she should raise her child. Braxton also enumerated the things her son is already capable of doing at the age of two. The fan maintained that her suggestion was not meant to be an insult. Braxton, however, stood her ground and said she did not find the advice “friendly,” and that she will continue to raise her child the way she wants to.

Many took Braxton’s reaction as improper, which led the singer and reality star to fight back. In another Instagram post, Braxton said: “So let me get THIS straight?.. I can’t defend myself, my marriage, nor my SON… I’m petty or ‘too much’ or extra.. Ok… That’s what I am.”

The fan who gave the comment caught wind of Braxton’s apology and also apologized for being out of line. The fan added that since Herbert said his and Braxton’s fans are more like family members since they get to see their private lives via their reality show, she did feel like she was part of the family and so she extended her suggestion.
