Taylor Swift has gotten fans worked up over the upcoming release of her sixth studio album “Reputation.” However, the release date for her latest project seems like it may be subtly shading one of her rivals.

Swift’s Nov. 10 release date of her new album coincides with the 10th anniversary of Kanye West’s mother’s death, according to TMZ. Although there is no proof that Swift intended to drop her album on a somber day in the rapper’s life, it is no secret that the two aren’t on the best of terms.

Swift, who released her first single, ”Look What You Made Me Do” off of the album seemed to taunt West in her lyrics. “I don’t like your little games ... don’t like your tilted stage,” which seems to be referencing the rapper’s floating stage during his Saint Pablo tour, in which he performed above the audience.

On Nov. 10, 2007, Donda West died following complications from cosmetic surgeries, and it was a dark time for the rapper. In 2016, the artist had a nervous breakdown that coincided with the anniversary of his mother’s death.

Donda West’s funeral was held on Nov. 20, 2007, and nine years later, Kanye canceled his show at the Los Angeles Forum. By Nov. 21, the rapper announced the cancellation of the remainder of his tour dates and suffered a mental breakdown just hours later, according to TMZ.

Sources close to the star previously told the media outlet that November has always been a difficult month for West because he never fully grieved and expressed his emotions following his mother’s death.

Prior to his breakdown, insiders revealed that the star struggled to handle stress and eventually reached his breaking point and became extremely paranoid. His behavior resulted in him be taken to the UCLA medical facilities, where he acted erratically and refused to let doctors touch him. West was sedated and treated by mental health professionals and doctors and was eventually released.

TMZ noted that dropping an album on a Friday is not out of the ordinary and is actually the preferred day to release new music. However, in the past, out of Swift’s five albums, recorded from 2006 to 2014, the star has released all of her projects on a Monday with the exception of the 2008 album “Fearless” which was released on a Tuesday.

Whether she is experimenting with release dates or simply happened to pick the day by chance, it is likely that “Reputation” will not revolve solely around her issues with West.

Swift also had a falling out her ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris, who mercilessly attacked her on Twitter after she revealed that she wrote “This Is What You Came For” under the pseudonym Nils Sjoberg. Harris admitted that he later regretted how he handled the situation.

In June, the DJ told British GQ that he should have handled things differently. “It was completely the wrong instinct,” he said.

“I was protecting what I see as my one talent in the world being belittled. It felt like things were piling on top of me and that was when I snapped,” he explained.

Although Harris has since condemned his behavior following his social media rant, it doesn’t mean Swift didn’t write about him. Like Swift sang in her new song, “I’ve got a list of names and yours is in red underlined.” It seems like no one will be safe from the singer’s wrath she releases “Reputation.”
