“Teen Wolf” reunited a few characters in the Season 5B premiere, but that doesn’t mean the pack is back together. The episode 12 synopsis emphasizes that Scott (Tyler Posey) is on his own.

“Without the support of his pack, Scott confronts what the Dread Doctors’ deadly success means for Beacon Hills,” the synopsis teases. It’s not much, but Scott definitely knows that Theo’s (Cody Christian) warning to Stiles (Dylan O'Brien) wasn’t an exaggeration.

“If your dad does survive, he’s not going to be Sheriff of anything much longer,” Theo told Stiles. Will they discover the new villain, the Beast of Gévaudan, this week? It still isn’t clear if the Beast will finally be introduced in episode 12. MTV released a sneak-peek video that showed Liam (Dylan Sprayberry) and Hayden (Victoria Moroles) meeting the fearsome creature before the midseason premiere, but the clip wasn’t anywhere to be seen in episode 11.

Unfortunately, the synopsis isn’t too spoilery, but the title gives another clue. Episode 12 is called “Damnatio Memoriae,” which means “condemnation of memory” in Latin. In Ancient Rome, it referred to erasing people from history by destroying any documentation that they existed. Are the Doctors trying to erase someone?

The trailer gives a glimpse of Kira (Arden Cho), who left Beacon Hills in the first half of Season 5. “She’ll be back soon. We’ll see her in episode 12,” Davis promised TV Line in August. As previously reported, she’ll be in New Mexico learning how to control her kitune powers.

“Teen Wolf” Season 5, episode 12 airs Tuesday at 9 p.m. EST.
