Snoop Dogg may not have the support of politicians, but he definitely has his hip-hop peers, including T.I., on his side. After the rapper released a music video for the song “Lavender,” which features him pointing a fake gun at a parody of President Donald Trump, the commander-in-chief took to Twitter to call him out.

“Can you imagine what the outcry would be if @SnoopDogg, failing career and all, had aimed and fired the gun at President Obama? Jail time!,” Trump tweeted. But T.I. wasn’t sharing the same feelings as Trump and took to his Instagram account to fire back.

Unleashing a fury of insults, the “Us or Else” rapper called the president a “tangerine tanned muskrat scrotum skin, lacefront possum fur wig wearing, alternative fact, atomic dog,” among a number of other things.

The rapper also reminded people that Snoop Dogg was a legend and asked Trump to keep the “Gin and Juice” rapper’s name out of his mouth. But T.I. didn’t stop there. He went on to call Trump a “wannabe dictator” and told him to continue focusing on “dividing minorities, building barriers, alienating immigrants and [messing] this country up.”

Senators Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio have previously called out Snoop, with Rubio telling TMZ, “Snoop shouldn’t of done that. We’ve had presidents assassinated before in this country so anything like that is really something we should be really careful about.”

Snoop Dogg, who is usually active on social media, has yet to respond to the criticism, but he did tell Billboard he wasn’t looking for a reaction when he shot the video. “I just put it out because I feel like it’s something that’s missing. Anytime I drop something, I’m trying to fill in a void.”

Since the release of the music video on March 12, the views on YouTube have surpassed 2 million.
