Toto Wolff insists Mercedes does not feel entitled or is not carrying over credits for the upcoming 2021 season.

Mercedes team is currently the first team, after Ferrari's record, to have bagged six consecutive driver and constructor world titles.

Mercedes has shown its racing dominance following all the significant changes that came in 2017 concerning aerodynamics and through rule changes in 2019 for front wings.

The regulation changes are just part of the ongoing overhaul that F1 is undergoing, and its yet to be seen if Mercedes can maintain its performance as new changes in 2021 are scheduled to happen.

Toto Wolff, speaking on Mercedes's performance, said that the new regulations effective in 2021 is going be an opportunity for the team to show that they can "come out on top" despite all the new changes.

He said that Mercedes does not have an "entitlement problem," and that results from last year do not mean that Mercedes has expected the same for the future seasons.

Wolff was discussing the team's performance during an end of season review.

Wolff said that he was looking forward to everything that was to come from the regulation changes in 2021, saying that the Mercedes team was excited as well.

Lewis Hamilton, the six-time champion, has been critical in the success of the Mercedes team as his winning form has boosted the Mercedes profile. It was also assisted by Wolff's great leadership leading to a formidable Mercedes during the 2019 season.

Wolff also talked about the need for the Mercedes team to get new motivational sources for the 2020 season.

He said in 2019, the most critical driving factor that motivated the team was to bag the six consecutive double championships, a feat that had not been accomplished before in Formula One.

He said the team's tenacity through the rough patches in the season kept them energetic.

Wolff said that the mood from the technical team following any negative results was surprisingly patient in regards to the team performance as they sought to do better in the upcoming events.

He said that those days of failure made the Mercedes team not only push further but also work smarter.

Wolff finished by claiming he enjoyed leaving no stone unturned when they came back on Monday after a rough weekend.

The future of the team is still in question for the 2021 season, considering Hamilton's possible move.
