Although Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Brad Pitt in 2016, a new report is claiming the actress has struggled to get over her marriage with her estranged husband. As a result, she has allegedly turned to her dad for support.

Last year, Pitt and Jolie already went through a bitter custody battle over their six children. Even though the two were able to reach an arrangement for the children, they have yet to finalize their divorce.

HollywoodLife published an article claiming Jolie had a hard time following her split from Pitt but has turned over a new perspective, thanks to her father.

“Angie also has been quietly spending time with her dad Jon [Voight, 80] still and they seem to have really repaired that relationship in full. He is a big part of the kids lives now, too, and has kind things to say about Brad even,” an alleged source told the website.

The supposed confidant claimed Jolie was left devastated after her split from Pitt. “The divorce was really hard on Angie, as she loved Brad like she hadn’t loved anyone else before, so it’s nice to see her turning a corner and seeming a lot more relaxed and at ease these days,” our source revealed.

The mysterious tipster went on to imply that while the “Maleficent 2” star values privacy, she wants her children to experience a regular childhood.

“She was very tense and not herself when she and Brad first separated. Angie likes to live a private life for the most part, however, she also likes to live a very normal life which is why she has no problem taking her kids to do normal kid activities.”

Rumors of Jolie’s devastation over her break up comes amid reports Pitt has moved on to Charlize Theron. However, sources previously told People the stars are not dating.

Despite rumors, Jolie has not acknowledged reports suggesting she turned to Voight to help her get through emotional turmoil caused by her divorce with Pitt.
