  • Amber Heard doubled down on her statement on Twitter about her feelings for Johnny Depp
  • The "Aquaman" actress told Savannah Guthrie she still loves Depp despite what happened
  • Twitter users did not believe Heard, saying an abuse survivor would not love their abuser

Amber Heard still loves her ex-husband Johnny Depp despite everything that had happened between them. But netizens believed it was not love but an obsession.

In Heard's post-trial interview with Savannah Guthrie airing on "Today" this week, the host asked the "Aquaman" star about her statement before the trial on Twitter where she mentioned, "I still have love for Johnny." Guthrie inquired if it was still the case after everything.

"Yes," Heard responded.

Guthrie wanted to make sure so she added, "After everything?" Heard insisted on her feelings for her ex-husband in response.

"Absolutely. I love him. I loved him with all my heart," Heard said.

The netizens have mixed opinions after Heard shared how she felt about the "Pirates of the Caribbean" star. Many were not convinced, saying she appeared obsessed with Depp.

"Amber Heard is just crazy obsessed with Johnny at this point. She wants to continue her abuse [of] him and it’s scary. I mean.. how could she love him if she believes all her claims are true? It’s just twisted," one commented.

"Amber doesn’t love him, she is obsessed with him. This IS a ploy for sympathy, I am the Abuse victim who still loves my abuser. It happens with REAL victims which she is not. She keeps harming real DV victims," another wrote.

"@realamberheard is obsessed with a man that has moved on. She is dangerous, and JD should watch his back. This fatal attraction behavior is frightening. Damn lunatic on the loose," a third person added.

While others felt that Heard was obsessed with Depp, some did not believe her. One abuse survivor said she worked with other victims of domestic abuse, and there were "zero victims who have any love for their abusers nor any fond memories of their abusers." A different user agreed because she did not know a single abuse victim or survivor who still loves their abuser.

Meanwhile, Heard's fans continued to voice their support for her. For them, Heard was not treated well by the public.

"Whatever smear they want to chuck up in their twisted obsession with hurting a strong woman, there's one thing they can't disprove, and it drives them mad," Heard's pal Eve Barlow tweeted. "Amber is one of the bravest people you will ever meet."

"#IStandWithAmberHeard We love you @realamberheard We will stand by you till our last breath," another supporter wrote.

"Nothing about the treatment of Amber Heard is fair. #IStandWithAmberHeard," one tweeted.

Heard's full interview will be featured on a special edition of "Dateline" on NBC at 8 p.m. EDT Friday.
