KEY POINTS

  • Amber Heard's Twitter account disappeared after Elon Musk took over the platform
  • Some Twitter users speculated that she might have deleted it or Musk did it
  • Other netizens claimed the actress did not want Musk to read her DMs

Amber Heard's missing Twitter account sparked discussion among the users of the micro-blogging site.

Musk successfully acquired Twitter. Shortly after, many noticed that Heard's Twitter handle mysteriously disappeared, sparking various speculations from other users on whether she deleted her account or if Musk removed her from the platform.

"Amber Heard has deleted her Twitter," ThatUmbrellaGuy tweeted.

"Maybe Elon got rid of her account," another suggested.

"Did she delete, or was she deleted? Either way, she's running like a scared rabbit," another user asked.

"She probably fears he could see her DMs," one user wrote, speculating that it was Heard who deleted her account.

Another user seemingly echoed the same sentiment.

"Afraid Musky will read her DMs and find out just how many people she was cheating on him with," @kayteeT1 wrote. "I can just imagine him going through the archives to read through her stuff, see what she's been saying about him."

"She deleted it herself. She's trying to disappear to avoid paying Johnny Depp the $10M she owes after she lost the defamation suit," another person opined.

Meanwhile, some suggested that maybe Heard couldn't afford the rumored $8 fee to keep her account verified. But others argued that she could still pay it.

"Cannot pay $8," one suggested. Another added, "She doesn't want to pay $8."

"She's broke," a different user wrote.

"There is no truth in the allegation that she couldn't afford the $8," another commented.

Heard and Musk dated almost immediately after her split from Johnny Depp. However, according to her former agent Christian Carino in a pre-taped deposition during the six-week defamation trial between the exes, the "Aquaman" star didn't love the SpaceX CEO.

"You weren't in love with him. You told me 1,000 times you were just filling space," Carino said, referring to Heard and Musk's breakup.
