Following the 58th annual Grammy Awards Monday night, many artists went out in Los Angeles to celebrate. But one music legend, Paul McCartney, was left on the outside looking in at Tyga's Grammy afterparty. The 26-year-old rapper responded on Twitter Tuesday afternoon to reports that he denied the ex-Beatle access to his event.

In a series of tweets, Tyga responded to the alleged snub, saying that he had no control of the door and wouldn't deny a "legend" from entering. You can see the rapper's tweets below:

According to TMZ, McCartney, Beck and Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins tried to attend Tyga's post-Grammy party at Argyle in Hollywood, but were denied entry by security twice. In a video on the gossip site, 73-year-old McCartney is shown saying, "How VIP do we gotta get? We need another hit."

TMZ was also able to catch the reaction of rapper Bow Wow when he learned that McCartney was denied at the door. Bow Wow couldn't believe it, but said it might be because he's older.

While Bow Wow might think McCartney too old for their scene, the former Beatle is no stranger to the rap game. In December 2014, Kanye West released a song called "Only One" that featured McCartney. Kanye later released another single called "FourFiveSeconds" in January 2015 that featured McCartney with Rihanna.
