UFC light heavyweight champ Jon Jones has three possible opponents for his much awaited UFC return.

Over a week ago, Jones teased his followers on Twitter about his UFC return. According to Jones, there will be a big announcement coming from the UFC anytime soon, particularly about his next fight.

“Buckle your seatbelt my friends, Big fiight announcement coming soon,” Jones tweeted.

Jones revealed that the fight will a “big fight,” which had the fans speculating that his opponent could be as big as Daniel Cormier. However, UFC president Dana White has already mentioned that Jones will most likely face light heavyweight top contender Jan Blachowicz.

In an interview with BT Sport, White clearly stated that he believes Blachowicz has earned the right to be Jones' next opponent. “I think Jan. I think Jan looked good in his last performance. And where he sits in the rankings, he’s the man,” White said.

Last month, Blachowicz called out Jones during his video conference interview with ESPN. According to Blachowicz, he is now ready to fight again after an elbow injury, and he wants only a title fight with Jones when he returns.

“My elbow is perfect so now I can start to talk with UFC again. About next fight, against Jon Jones of course,” Blachowicz said.

Blachowicz is convinced that his knockout win against former UFC champ Luke Rockhold cemented his name as next title contender. “When I knocked out Luke Rockhold I think I proven that I deserve the title shot,” Blachowicz added.

But Jones’ past opponent, Thiago Santos, also believes that he is the fighter who will end Jones’ reign as an undisputed champ. In his interview with MMA Fighting, Santos stated that he’s been recovering well, and in his return, he will face Jones once again.

“I think (Jones) remains champion. He remains champion until I come back,” Santos said.

But looking closely at Jones’ statement, the word “big” could also mean that he is moving up to the big boys division – the heavyweight. Jones has always been viewed as a competitor in the heavyweight division despite being a long-time light heavyweight champ.

Last month, Anthony Johnson announced his UFC return as a heavyweight and he only has eyes on Jones and Cormier.

Now that Jones is set to return, his former foe Johnson could also be the opponent Jones has been refereeing to.
