  • A UFO expert spotted an alleged alien face on the Moon
  • The face resembled characters from ancient mythology
  • The alleged carving could be about 12,000 meters wide

A UFO expert claimed to have spotted a carving of an alien face on the Moon. According to the expert, it slightly resembles the appearance of ancient mythological characters.

The strange sighting was made by Scott Waring of ET Data Base. According to Waring, he came across the image of an ancient alien face on the Moon while he was browsing Google’s map of Earth’s natural satellite.

As he was exploring the lunar surface, Waring came across a crater that appeared to have a massive carving on its floor. As noted by the UFO expert, the alleged carving can be found using the coordinates 17°30'50.56"N and 81°48'43.32"W. It is located near the craters Balboa, Dalton and Vasco da Gama.

After zooming in on the image and using photo-editing software, Waring was able to highlight the various features of the alleged carving. Based on the image, Waring noted that it could be a massive carving of an alien face.

The alleged carving had several distinct facial features such as the eyes, nose, lips, cheeks and eyebrows. He said that it slightly resembled the god Thor from Norse mythology. Waring noted that the carving might have been made based on the physical appearance of the alien species that lived on the Moon.

“This species looks almost human. It closely resembles Thor from the ancient Vikings,” he stated in a blog post. “I colorized the face to make it stand out easier and to make it easier to see. The large lips, nose and cheeks all stand out well. It has a beard and thick eyebrows and a small forehead with hair.”

“Its ear seems to be closer to that of a cat or goat,” he continued. “Its eyes are similar to the ancient Greek depictions of warriors. The face is everything.”

Waring did not provide an estimate regarding the size of the alleged carving. Based on the photo, it could be about a fifth of Dalton crater, which has a diameter of roughly 60,000 meters. This means the entire carving could be around 12,000 meters wide.
