Vampire Diaries
"Death and the Maiden" - Episode 7 of "The Vampire Diaries" CW

“Vampire Diaries” actress Nina Dobrev has been pulling double duty over the past few seasons as Elena Gilbert and Katherine Pierce. But it appears as if fans of the CW hit series can’t get enough of the Petrova doppelgangers … because they added another one into the mix!

Dobrev will now be pulling triple duty because Amara, Silas’ one true love, is the original Petrova doppelganger.

Amara was previously visited through a flashback, but in an insane twist at the end of episode 6 it was revealed that she was still alive and kicking – after being locked in a box for 2000 years. Silas was finally reunited with his love, but what the freshly turned human didn’t realize was that Amara cared more about ending her eternity of misery with the cure. Draining Silas of the cure, Amara ended up straight into the hands of Damon … who realized that they now have a new problem to deal with.

Episode 7, “Death and the Maiden,” will pick up with Amara at the Salvatore residence and while the boys don’t know what to do with her they do know one thing – they have to keep her alive.

In a special sneak peek video from TVGuide, “Vampire Diaries” viewers can take a look at the brewing trouble and crazy Amara before episode 7 airs at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 14.

“I don’t know,” Amara yells in the cell at the Salvatore house, her hands tied behind her back. “I said I don’t know.”

But Amara’s not being questioned (at least by someone visible) – She’s completely alone in the room.

“What’s wrong with her?” Stefan asks Damon as they look on.

“Tessa turned her into a block of rock,” Damon explains. “Been in a box for 2000 years … probably went a little stir crazy like those deserted island guys that talk to volleyballs.”

Just coming out of his Tessa induced memory block, Stefan can’t believe that Amara is the only thing keeping the other side together.

“As long as she‘s alive the other side exists,” Damon continues. “So we can keep trying to get Bonnie from over there.” But in usual Mystic Falls fashion there is a catch – Amara is mortal now which means danger is looming while her “ordinary little heart” beats.

Damon and Stefan must now find Silas before someone gets to Amara in order for him to follow through on his deal to bring Bonnie back from the dead. However there may be another way for Bonnie to return. As we previously reported, Jeremy and Bonnie “share a glimmer of hope” after a “surprising conversation with Amara.”
